The job:
We’re looking for a Junior Forklift Engineer with a strong interest in electrical work to join our well-equipped workshop in Basingstoke. This role is ideal for someone with some electrical and mechanical experience who is eager to learn more about forklifts and material handling equipment. You’ll receive guidance from senior engineers and have opportunities to develop your skills in a supportive environment.
- Repair, service and maintenance of used, new and rental trucks.
- Ensuring completed trucks meet safety standards.
- Assisting with the efficient running of the workshop.
Requirements
Our ideal candidate would be someone lively and proactive, who wants to help lead and aid the progression of other staff and have an input into the effective running and management of the workshop.
- Some experience in electrical engineering, preferably with forklifts or similar equipment.
- Basic mechanical experience is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and develop your skills, especially in diagnosing electrical faults.
- Good communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
- A valid driver’s license and your own transport (our location is rural).
- Commitment to following health and safety procedures.
